Allen S. Adams, age, 82, of Jasper, FL. passed away at his home Wednesday, the morning of February 16, 2011. Mr. Adams was born on September 17, 1928 in Waycross, GA. to the late Allen and Murrell Adams. Mr. Adams served in the United States Marine Corps and went on to make a living for his family in Lakeland, FL. before moving to Jasper in 1966. He retired from Occidental Chemical Company and proceeded to do what he really loved in life which was playing golf with his friends. Mr. Adams was preceded in death by his wife Betty W. Adams in January of 1992.

Survivors include two daughters, Terry Lee Reese (Moody), Grovetown, Ga. and Patricia Ann Merritt (Butch), Lake Park, GA.; one son, Warren Adams (Becky), Live Oak, FL.; seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Also surviving are his close personal friends, Gene Rogers of Lakeland, FL., Robbie Lamb, Jasper, FL. and Marjorie Dedge also of Jasper.

Funeral services were held Saturday, February 19, 2011 at the First United Methodist Church in Jasper with Pastor Wayne Sullivan officiating. Interment followed in Evergreen Cemetery in Jasper.
