Anita Murphy, age 67, of Jennings, FL. passed away Wednesday, November 6, 2013 at her home following a lengthy illness. Mrs. Murphy was a native and longtime resident of Valdosta, Georgia. She graduated from Valdosta High School. Mrs. Murphy retired from Bellsouth after a 30 year career in communications. She was predeceased by her daughter, Tina Louise Simpson.

Survivors include her husband of more than thirty three years, Thomas J. Murphy, Jennings, FL.; one son, Robert Simpson, Lawrenceville, Georgia; one daughter, Kristina Cantwell, Buford, Georgia; and one sister, Virginia; five grandchildren also survive.

Memorial services were held Saturday, November 9, 2013 in the chapel of Harry T. Reid Funeral Home, Jasper, FL.
