IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Anne Tuten
Deas
March 4, 1957 – May 24, 2021
Anne Tuten Deas, age 64, of Jennings, FL. passed away on Monday, May 24, 2021 at South Georgia Medical Center in Valdosta, GA following a lengthy illness.
Anne was born on March 4, 1957 in Valdosta, GA. to the late Jimmie Redding Tuten and Gwendolyn Powell Tuten. She graduated from Hamilton County High School in 1975 and completed her Bachelor's Degree at Auburn University in 1979.
Anne was a partner at Lee and Associates Accounting Firm for many years before deciding to sell her half of the company to pursue her lifelong dream of being a farmer's wife. She loved life on the farm, such as taking road trips with Roger and Waffles (dog) checking irrigation and cows, pulling trailers during tobacco season, working cows, and riding horses. Anne was always available to do whatever was needed at Deas Brothers Farm. When not on the farm, Anne loved being outside or woodworking in her shop, where she built her own kitchen cabinets and countertops, along with many other projects. Anne was a loving wife, mother, and mamaw. She was quick to help others, but you would never know it was her because she did not want the recognition. Anne was well known for her famous pecan pies and for being a die-hard Auburn fan. She loved her Tigers.
Survivors include her husband of 41 years, Roger Deas, Jennings, FL; two sons, Quint Deas (Lettie) and Barry Deas (Brianne), all of Jennings; her daughter, Ginger Deas Duncan (Shane) of Auburn "Bearuregard", Alabama; her two brothers, Hal Tuten (Dinah), Pensacola, FL, and Steven Tuten (Donna), Jasper, FL; seven precious grandchildren, Quincie Cain, Ashton Deas, Cameron Cain, Ella Deas, Mason Deas, Annalyse Deas, and Baxlie Duncan.
Graveside services were held on Sunday, May 30, 2021 at Burnham Christian Church Cemetery with Bro. Johnny Brown officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to Pearlman Cancer Center, 209 Pendleton Dr. Valdosta, GA 31602.
