Martha Anne Hayes Hall, age 66, of Jasper, FL. passed away at her home on Thursday, March 29, 2012 following an illness of some time. Anne was born on May 15, 1945 in Albany, Georgia to Riley and Earlene Ledlow Hayes. Ty Ty, Georgia was "home" to Anne. She met and married John Earl Hall and began a family. In 1975 they moved their family to Jasper, FL. Never one to sit idle, Anne immediately went to work at Hamilton County Middle School where she was well received. When she exited the school system, she went to work as part of the staff at the Jasper News. In 1998 "Main Street Hamilton County" was organized and Anne was instrumental in building interest and got busy writing and securing grants for a town she had come to love. If you knew her, you knew that family was number one. Her home was always open and they knew Anne would welcome them anytime. She was a caretaker by nature and because of that special gift she was able to share some valuable time with her mother these last few months. Anne gave God the credit for keeping her going and appreciated the prayers from the many churches, her community and her church family at Jasper Assembly of God. Anne was preceded in death by her father, Riley and her husband, John Earl Hall.
Survivors include two sons, David Hall (Dana), Jasper, FL. and Allen Hall (Bessie), Jennings, FL.; one daughter, Kim Grantham (Kevin), also of Jennings; her mother, Earlene Ledlow Hayes, Jasper, FL.; eight grandchildren, David Jr. (Aubrey), Sara (Mark), Chris, Twyla, Travis, Ryan, Eric and Stacey; four great grandchildren, Alexander, Arianna, Dylan and Tazen. Also surviving is her lifelong friend, Tennia Scott of China Grove, North Carolina.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, April 3, 2012 at the First Baptist Church in Jasper, FL. with Dr. Charles Helms officiating, assisted by Rev. Justin Young who gave the eulogy. Interment followed at Evergreen Cemetery, Jasper.
