Obituary

April Michelle Cribbs, age 29, of Jennings, FL. passed away in the early morning hours of November 17, 2017 from complications resulting from a seizure. April was taken from us much too soon and we will grieve her loss but we will find comfort in knowing she is reunited with her brother Bryan who died early this year in a car crash.

April was born on August 23, 1988 to James Cribbs and Wyonas Waters Cribbs in Valdosta, Georgia. She lived in Hamilton County her whole life and attended public school. Upon graduation she sought out what she thought might bring her some happiness and so she began working some with her grandmother Maureen at the H & F Restaurant in Jasper. The time came when Maureen was ready to step down and April, with a little help, took over as Owner/Operator of the H & F Restaurant. She managed to keep it open for some time before finally realizing in a world of hard knocks that she just could not make a living at it and the decision was made to close the restaurant for good.

April's bright smile was a gift to anyone that was the beneficiary of that smile. It was in fact infectious and caused you to smile right back. The memories of leaving the restaurant were quick to fade as a new man came into her life. His name was Chase Michael Baker, her son. New life was breathed into her when she came to grips with the fact that she now had this new life that would love her always. In recent days she shared Sundays at church with Chase and was just beginning to find her way again. Early on Friday, Nov. 17 she gained her angel's wings.

Survivors include her son, Chase Michael Baker; her parents, James and Wanda Cribbs and Wyonas Waters Cribbs; her only surviving brother, Jason Cribbs and his wife Becky; her maternal grandmother, Maureen Waters; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins; the nieces and nephews she loved so dearly, Keith Cribbs, Katlyn Cribbs, Alexandra Cribbs, Bryan Cribbs, Jr., Hailey Cribbs, Kailey Cribbs, Little Levi Padgett, Macie Rae Padgett, Danielle Love and John Love; a great nephew, James Remington Cribbs; Also mourning her passing is her fiancé and the father of her son, Paul Baker, Jr.

Funeral services were held  on Monday, November 20, 2017 at Harvest Fellowship Church on U.S.129. Interment followed at Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery near Jasper.
