Arnie Lee Pope, age 81, of Jasper, FL. passed away Wednesday, June 1, 2011 at South Georgia Medical Center in Valdosta, GA. Mr. Pope was born in Hamilton County, Alabama on Jan. 11, 1930 to the late Benjamin Leroy and Rosie Kennedy Pope. He owned and operated his own construction company in Ft. Pierce, FL before retiring to Jasper, FL. some five years ago. Mr. Pope will always be remembered as a loving husband, father, and grandfather avid hunter, fisherman. He was preceded in death by brother R.V. and Arnold Pope.

Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Martina Pope; two sons, Gary & Darrell Pope, both of Ft. Pierce, FL.; two daughters, Karen Webb & Renee Pope, both of Jasper, FL.; one brother, Hershell Pope, Sylvester, GA.; one sister, Eloise Lewis, Ft. Pierce, FL.; 11 Grandchildren: Sabrina Mcglothlin, Derrick Pope, Jason Vickers, Denisha Bradford, Krystal, Kristina, Precilla & Juston Pope, Preston Cummings, Chase Guy; survivors also include 9 great grandchildren.


Memorial services were held Saturday, June 4, 2011 in the chapel of Harry T. Reid Funeral Home, Jasper, FL.
