Arthur David Dempsey, age 77, of Pinetta, FL. passed away early Thursday, March 19, 2009 at Madison County Hospital in Madison, FL. following an extended illness. Arthur was born in Hamilton County, FL. June 18, 1931 to the late Perry and Maggie Dixon Dempsey. He was a carpenter by trade. Arthur was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret in Sept. 2003.

Survivors include one son, Patrick "Pat" Dempsey and his wife, Diane; three sisters, Irene Hammond, Pinetta, FL., Shirley Allen, Jasper, FL. and Jimmie Jane Williams (Aaron), Lee, FL.; three granddaughters, Charlotte Thigpen, Amanda Sealey (Robert), and D.J. Dempsey; six great grandchildren, Megan, Jordan, and Dylan Thigpen, Kyle and Kayla Sealey and Devan David Dempsey.

Graveside services were held Sunday, March 22, 2009 at Hickory Grove Cemetery where Arthur was laid to rest by his precious wife, Margaret. Pastor John Dodson officiated the service. Music was provived by Arthur's four nieces. His daughter in law, Diane Dempsey gave the Eulogy.
