Arthur Paul King, Sr., age 79, of Jennings, Florida passed away early Thursday, Feb. 19, 2009 at Smith Northview Hospital in Valdosta, Georgia following a lengthy illness. The Hamilton County native was born May 4, 1929 to the late Paul and Berta Smith King. He was the owner and operator of King's Grocery Stores for many years. Mr. King was a veteran of the United States Air Force and was a member of the Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Elsie Scaff.

Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Emma King, Jennings, FL.; one daughter, Debbie Livingston, Panama City, FL.; three sons, Timmy King, Lake Park, GA., Mickey King, Jennings, FL., and Paul King, Statenville, GA.; one sister, Helen Selph, Jennings, FL.; 13 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Saturday, Feb. 21 in the chapel of Harry T. Reid Funeral Home with Mr. Mike Johnson officiating. Interment followed at Sassers Landing Cemetery with military rites at the graveside.
