Avis Fouraker Cason
January 17, 1934 – August 4, 2025

Avis Fouraker Cason, age 91, went home to be with the Lord on August 4, 2025, while surrounded by her loved ones at her residence. Born on January 17, 1934, Avis married the love of her life, Harley Dewitt Cason, in 1950 and together they built a life grounded in faith, service, and family.

A faithful member of Jasper Assembly of God for 57 years, Avis was deeply committed to her church and to the spiritual well-being of her community. She served as a missionary within Hamilton County and ministered to countless women through the Bible studies she led at the Hamilton County Jail. Her passion for spreading God's word was matched only by her love for fishing, gardening, and being in the presence of those she cared for.

Avis is survived by her devoted children, Sarah (Ray) Register, Alex Dewitt (Meloney) Cason, and Carmen (Willard) Yeomans; and by a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, all of whom were blessed by her love and guidance.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Harley Cason; her daughter, Bulah Odum; her grandson, Alex Dewitt Cason Jr.; her parents, Jesse and Mary Fouraker; her brothers, Franklin and Pearsall Fouraker; and her sisters, Mary Harris, Lula Herring, and Amy Claxton.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 8, 2025, at Jasper Assembly of God, located at 3891 County Road 51, Jasper, FL 32052.

Public Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m.
Funeral Service will follow at 11:00 a.m.

Graveside service will immediately follow at Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery, 13158 SE County Road 137, Jasper, FL 32052.

Avis leaves behind a legacy of unwavering faith, compassion, and service. Her life was a testimony to the love of Christ, and she will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
