IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Barbara Sue
Pope
October 27, 1950 – September 16, 2024
Barbara Sue Pope, 73, of Jennings, Florida, passed away peacefully on September 16, 2024, surrounded by her loved ones. Born on October 27, 1950, in Warren, Indiana, to Chuck and Virginia Winningham, Barbara led a vibrant and full life. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend who touched the lives of many with her joyful spirit and love for adventure.
Barbara worked as an overseas procurer for SAFT, where she was respected for her dedication and skill. But beyond her professional life, Barbara's heart belonged to her family and her many hobbies. A talented clog dancer, she traveled all over performing at state fairs and events with her clogging group, sharing her love for the dance with audiences. She also enjoyed staying active through ZUMBA, which kept her energetic. Though her hobbies brought her much happiness, Barbara's love for her family was the cornerstone of her life. She cherished all the time she had with her grandsons, Wyatt and Warren, spending countless hours doing arts and crafts with them. She found peace and joy in these simple moments, creating a bond with them that will be held dear forever.
Barbara was also a passionate motorcyclist. Together with her devoted husband, Ron, she shared countless adventures on the open road. Initially riding as Ron's passenger, Barbara's adventurous spirit soon led her to convince him to buy her a motorcycle of her own. From then on, they rode side by side, sharing their love for the ride and the journeys they took together.
Barbara is survived by her loving husband, Ron Pope; her daughter, Nicole C. Wood (Maria) of Melbourne, FL; her son, Joshua Stephen Pope (Tracy) of Jennings, FL; her brother, Bob Winningham of Texas; and her two precious grandsons, Wyatt S. and Warren J. Pope. Barbara also leaves behind her miniature dachshund, Mini, that loves her dearly.
