Mr. Ben A. Henderson, age 92, of Needmore, Georgia passed away Friday, July 22, 2016 at Langdale Hospice House in Valdosta, Georgia.

Mr. Ben was born in Echols County, Georgia on November 3, 1923 to the late Jack and Lizzie Cox Henderson. He worked in the timber business for many years as a logger with Mr. Henry Padgett. Ben was a lifetime resident of Echols County and loved hunting and fishing. Mr. Henderson was of the Church of God faith. He was preceded in death by his wife, Inez Henderson, his parents, Jack and Lizzie Henderson, his son, Benny Henderson, a great grandson, Dustin Henderson, his sister, Lois Jones and three brothers, Paul, Alfred and J.L. Henderson.

Survivors include two daughters, Mildred Parr and her husband Billy Ray of Needmore, Georgia and Velma Knight also of Needmore, Georgia; 8 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and 6 great great-grandchildren.

Graveside services were held at Bethel Primitive Baptist Church (Boney Bluff Cemetery)  Monday, July 25, 2016 with Bro. Jaime Register officiating, assisted by Tim Feathers.
