Betty Jean Bennett Daniels, age 82, of Jasper, FL. passed away on Christmas Day, December 25, 2019 at North Florida Regional Medical Center in Gainesville, FL.
Betty was a native and lifelong resident of Jasper, FL. She was born on June 6, 1937 to the late Maurice G. and Alta Mercer Bennett. She graduated from Jasper High School and in 1957 she married her sweetheart, Kenneth E. Daniels. On January 20, 2020 they would have celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversary. Betty was a helpmate to Ken and was a wonderful mother to her three children. She was known to never shy away from hard work be it in the fields, home canning vegetables or cooking for her family and others in the community. She and her husband were faithful members of Jasper First Baptist Church. Betty was preceded in death by her parents and her grandson, Todd Daniels.
Survivors include her husband, Kenneth E. Daniels; her daughter, Regina Jordan (Troy) of Jasper, FL., her son, Kenneth M. Daniels (Darlene), Jasper, FL. and her daughter Kellye K. Daniels, Watertown, MA.; her cousin who she thought of as a sister, Linda Morgan, White Springs, FL.; her grandchildren, Brian Daniels, Brigitte Bailey, and Dalton Jordan; and two great grandchildren, Tristan Daniels and Madison Wood.
Graveside services were held on Saturday, December 28, 2019 at Evergreen Cemetery in Jasper, FL. officiated by Rev. Roger Hutto and eulogized by Marsha Groll, Harrell Reid and John Peach with each reading a poem of special significance to Betty.
