Betty Alice
Fouraker
December 20, 1930 – March 17, 2020
Betty Alice Fouraker, age 89, of White Springs, FL. passed away on Tuesday, March 17, 2020 at Haven Hospice Suwannee Valley Care Center in Lake City, FL.
Betty was born in Plainfield, Indiana on December 20, 1930 to the late Raleigh and Margaret Larison Smith. She was a homemaker but she was indeed a help-mate to her husband Franklin and spent many hours out on the farm working side by side with him. She was a loving mother and grandmother. In introducing her daughter-in-law one day, she introduced her as her daughter-in-love. That is how Betty was. She loved her family and wanted to provide for them in every way. Betty was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert William Smith and Harold Smith who died at the age of two.
Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Franklin Fouraker; her son and daughter-in-law, James and Teena Kay Smith; her sister, Carol Lee Witte; her two sisters-in-law, Avis Cason and Lula Herring; two grandsons, Franklin and Jimmy Smith; eight great grandchildren, Randy, Orian, Laura, Symphany, Kayla, Zaya, Christina and Gabe; two great great-grandchildren, Levi and Isaiah. Many nieces and nephews also survive.
In keeping with current Covid-19 restrictions a private burial will be later this week at Boney Bluff Cemetery near Fargo, Georgia. No formal visitation will be held.
