Betty Jean Starling, age 72, of Jasper, FL. passed away Tuesday, April 9, 2019 at Suwannee Healthcare in Live Oak, FL. following an extended illness.

Betty Jean was a native of Olympia, Washington, born October 4, 1946 to the late Ed and Bernice Bond Gillette. Betty Jean owned and operated her own janitorial business. She contracted with contractors for new construction cleaning, making a new build perfect for new tenants. She was married to the love of her life, Dewey Starling for 46 1/2 years. They moved to Jasper some six years ago from Georgia to make Jasper their place of retirement.

Survivors include her husband, Dewey; her children, Cory Starling (Christine), Shelby Duncan (Mark) and Jenny Starling; her two sisters, Sandy Swindler (John) and Margie Wilson (Don); and six grandchildren.

Funeral services were held on Friday, April 12, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Harry T. Reid Funeral Home in Jasper, FL.
