Betty Jo Stephens, age 70, of Echols County, GA passed away at her home on December 12, 2019 following a brief illness.

Memorial services will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 18, 2019 in the chapel of Harry T. Reid Funeral Home in Jasper, FL.

Betty Jo was born on September 16, 1949 in Valdosta, GA. to the late Thomas and Maeda Kinsey Prescott. When she was younger she enjoyed riding horses and loved all animals big and small. Betty Jo loved people and enjoyed spending time with her family. Those who loved her the most would admit laughingly that she was set in her ways. Sadly, Betty Jo was preceded in death earlier this year by her only daughter, Lucy Jo Collier. She was also preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Clyde Prescott.

Survivors include her two grandchildren, Leona Dyal (Allen) and Thomas Crosby; three great grandchildren, Allie, Gabriel and Landis; her brother, Thomas Prescott (Gail); niece and nephews, John, James and Joanne Prescott; and grand nephew, Ethan Seewald.
