Obituary

Billy Joe Eudy, age 84, passed away peacefully at home on August 31, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on August 28, 1941, to Joseph and Ailene Eudy, and lived a life marked by devotion, hard work, and the simple joys that made each day meaningful.

Billy Joe was married to his childhood sweetheart, Sandra Jo Eudy, for 62 beautiful years. Their love story began early and remained strong throughout their lives as they built a family filled with warmth and laughter. Billy Joe is survived by his wife Sandra, his son Rickey Eudy, and his granddaughter Megan Barnes. Though no longer married into the family, Brent Barnes, Megan's former husband, remained dear to Billy's heart. His greatest joy in recent years was being "Papa" to his great-grandson, Barrett "Bear" Barnes, faithfully cheering him on at every baseball game. He also shared a very special bond with his niece, Katie Chamberlain, and her husband Ryan.

Billy Joe was one of eight siblings and leaves behind a close-knit and loving family. His surviving brothers and sisters are Royce Eudy and his wife Tonya, Sherrell Eudy and his wife Harriett, Carlene Holland and her husband Carl, Patricia Rowe and her husband Johnny, Jean Bartlett, Jane Meggs and her husband Steve, and Bobby Eudy and his wife Tammy. He is also remembered with love by numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Ailene Eudy, who instilled in him the values of hard work, loyalty, and kindness.

Billy Joe spent 40 years working as a dragline operator at PCS (Nutrien). He took great pride in his work and earned the respect of his coworkers through his dedication and integrity. After retiring, he devoted his time wholeheartedly to his family and the hobbies that brought him peace and purpose.

A talented guitar player, Billy Joe, loved to share his music with others. Whether playing for visitors or encouraging young ones to explore their musical gifts, he was always ready to lift spirits through song. He also enjoyed being outdoors cleaning the yard, burning trash piles, and sitting on the front porch waving at neighbors and passersby. It was in these quiet, consistent moments that his kindness and gentle spirit truly shone.

Billy Joe Eudy will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. His legacy lives on through his family, the memories shared, and the simple lessons he taught by example—love fully, work hard, and always make time to wave hello.
