On May 5, 2011, Blanche Bryan McCrum passed into God's Heaven and joined her loved ones there. Blanche was born to William and Frances Bryan on October 4, 1920 in Jasper, Florida. She grew up in Jasper, graduated from Jasper High School and continued on to graduate from Jones Business College. Blanche had a successful business career and was an associate at the Bisbee-Baldwin Insurance and Mortgage Company for many years, eventually serving on their board of directors. During her business career, she met and married Walter Francis McCrum, who she dearly loved and to whom she was very dedicated.
Her primary attributes were her warm, loving heart, her magnificent character and integrity, her vibrant smile, her sharp mind, her love of music, her love of dancing with her husband and her devotion to her 14 nieces and nephews. She stood ready to help any one of them on a moment's notice. She spent her last years renewing old friendships and forming new ones at Dowling Park and The Good Samaritan Center.
Blanche was preceded in death by her husband and her nephews, L. Bert Rogers and Frank S. Hunter.
Brothers and sisters, Milton Bryan, Hazel Bryan Hunter, Ledwith Bryan, Sarah Elizabeth Bryan Rogers, Francis "Peter" Bryan and Orton Bryan. She is survived by 12 nieces and nephews.
Graveside services were held Monday, May 9, 2011 at Evergreen Cemetery in Jasper with Rev. Roger Hutto officiating.
