Obituary

Brenda Lou Fouraker (Howell, Benitez), age 65, of White Springs, FL. passed away sadly on January 13, 2021 after a courageous battle with Covid-19.

Brenda was born in Lake City, FL. on September 1, 1955 to the late Pearsall and Corrine Morgan Fouraker. She grew up on the farm near Facil outside of White Springs and attended school in White Springs and Hamilton County High School. Brenda married the late Wade Howell and lived for many years in Jennings, FL. on the Howell farm before moving back to White Springs. Brenda was just one of those people that you instantly fell in love with. Her smile and laughter were infectious and she won you over immediately. Her daughter credits her with passing on the ability to make friends with most anyone. In Victoria's words, she passed on the legacy of having a fountain of joy, an over-talkative nature, a helping heart, stubbornness, bravery and creativity. She had the lust to always want to see what was around the next corner-the love for exploring new things and the ability to find happiness in getting lost in a new place and to always turn to God if they ever felt lost or alone. There could not be a better description of Brenda. Her friends are left with those same memories. Her friends say she was always seeking to lend a helping hand in whatever way she was able. Brenda graduated with a Bachelor's Degree from Florida State University. She worked for over 30 years as a Registered Nurse where she brought her natural caring qualities to the patients she worked with. She had a deep love for those in need and her career reflected her determination to help children, the elderly, handicapped, poor and suffering. As a home health nurse, she brought comfort. For the handicapped children at Greenwood school, she was the school nurse who was patient and accepting. For the elderly at nursing facilities, she brought joyful companionship and honor to their lives.

Brenda was always ready for her next adventure whether it was on the farm with her youngest son Aaron, traveling to Europe to visit Victoria or to Colorado to see Corey. She was so very proud of her children and their accomplishments. Brenda lost her mother at a young age and so when she had children, she loved them with all of her heart knowing that tomorrow was not a promise and they loved her in return. The gifts that she left them in life lessons cannot be bought at a store and cannot be gifted by someone who didn't have it to gift. They are thankful for the days God gave them with the beauty they called Mom.

She is survived by her children, Corey Howell of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Victoria Howell Takacs of Hungary, Europe and Aaron Benitez of White Springs, FL.; her brothers, Pearsall Fouraker, Jr., White Springs, FL. and Robert Singhal of Pavo, GA.; her sister, Bonnie Adams, Wellborn, FL.; her step-mother, Martha Fouraker, White Springs, FL. and two precious grandchildren.

Memorial services will be announced at a later date.
