Caroll Hurst, a beloved and talented individual, passed away on June 12, 2024, at the age of 70. Born on January 30, 1954, in Orlando, FL, to John and Margurette Hurst, Caroll's life was marked by his passion for horticulture and his love for family.

Caroll found great joy in working with flowers and gardening. He started his professional journey in a nursery in Orlando, where his expertise and love for plants led him to work on landscaping projects for Disney. Beyond his green thumb, Caroll was an avid sewer and quilt-maker, creating beautiful and intricate quilts that were treasured by many.

After relocating to Hamilton County, FL, Caroll worked for many years at Jasper Textile, where his work was highly valued. Known for his caring nature, Caroll always put others first, offering his love and support to everyone around him. Although he had no children of his own, Caroll cherished his many nieces and nephews, loving them as if they were his own.

Caroll is survived by his siblings: Daniel Hurst (Emily) of Deltona; Edward Hurst (Cynthia) of Jasper; John Hurst (Nita) of Jennings; Billy Joe Hurst of Jasper; his twin sister, Caroline Hurst of Lake City; Patricia Vinson (Walt) of Jasper; Diane Langford of Jacksonville; and Donna Sue Tharp (Waylon Smart) of Jasper. Additionally, he leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews who held a special place in his heart.

The family plans to hold a memorial service at a later date to honor and celebrate Caroll's life. His memory will forever be cherished by all who knew and loved him.
