Carolyn Lee Smith Goodwyne, 77, passed away peacefully at home on March 4, 2026, surrounded by her loved ones.

Carolyn was born on March 16, 1948, in Baldwin, Florida, to Robert and Ida Smith. She married the love of her life, Robert Milton Goodwyne, on April 29, 1963, and together they spent nearly 63 wonderful years building a loving family.

She lived in Lake Park, Georgia, for over 45 years and was a member of Lake Park Church of God. Carolyn loved her family deeply. She loved being a mother and grandmother and was a caretaker to many. She often fed the neighborhood kids and anyone who came to her table. She loved flowers and gardening and was someone who mostly kept to herself but loved with her whole heart.

She is survived by her husband, Robert Milton Goodwyne of Lake Park, Georgia; her daughter, Rebekah Lee Goodwyne of Lake Park, Georgia; her sisters, Betty Bowen of Lee, Florida, Eleanor Luxe (Bill) of Switzerland, Florida, and Onna Lee Thornton of Macclenny, Florida; and her grandchildren, Peyton Lee Pittman and Luke Wyatt Goodwyne.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Ida Smith; her sons, Robert Milton Goodwyne Jr. and Patrick Lee Goodwyne; and her brother, Robert Lee Smith.

Funeral services will be held on March 9, 2026, at Lake Park Church of God. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m., followed by the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Lake Park City Cemetery.
