Obituary

Charles Clinton Combass, age 74, of Jasper, FL. passed away early on Sunday morning, November 19, 2017 at North Florida Regional Medical Center in Gainesville, FL. Clinton was a native and lifelong resident of Hamilton County. Before settling down to a career, Clinton served his country in the United States Air Force. Following his stint in the Air Force he worked for the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office and retired from the United States Postal Service after 20 years as a rural route mail carrier. Many will remember him fondly as a member of the unofficial breakfast club at Hardee's. Clinton was a member of the John M. Caldwell Masonic Lodge #70 and The Shriners. He was also a member of the First Baptist Church in Lake Park, Georgia.

Survivors include his wife Florine Hester Combass of Jasper; two sons and daughters-in-law, Dorrell and Kristi Combass of Jasper and Darren and Michelle Combass of Gainesville, FL.; two brothers, Lonnie (Joyce) Combass, Jasper, FL. and Kervie (Irene) Combass, Keystone Heights, FL.; five grandchildren, Mackenzie, Zachary and Alayna Combass and step grandchildren Shelby and Brooke Ellis.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday, November 22, 2017 in the chapel of Harry T. Reid Funeral Home in Jasper, FL. Interment followed at Evergreen Cemetery in Jasper.
