Obituary

Charles Raymond Register, Jr., passed away at his home on November 19, 2025. He was born on September 9, 1953, in Clearwater, Florida, and spent the majority of his childhood in Lowndes County, Georgia, where he attended Lowndes County Schools before relocating to Jasper as a young man. Charles honorably served his country in the United States Marine Corps from 1970 to 1973, a period of service of which he remained deeply proud throughout his life. He was a deacon of First Baptist Church of Jasper, where he accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his Savior and endeavored to live a faithful and upright Christian life.

Charles is survived by his mother, M. Inez Wilhelm of the Presbyterian Home in Quitman, Georgia; and his sisters Linda Carter of Valdosta, Georgia, Gail Williams (Tony Sr.) of Valdosta, Georgia, Judy Earley of Albany Ga, Debra Pohlenz of Phoenix, Arizona, and Trish Register (Brandy) of Jasper, Florida. He is also survived by his children, Charles R. Register III (Jessica) of Tampa, Florida, Melissa Ann Richardson of Madison, Florida, and Roy E. Register of Madison, Florida.

He was preceded in death by his father, Charles R. Register, Sr., of Jasper, Florida, and his brother, SSgt. Roy Carroll Register, U.S. Army, who was killed in action in Vietnam in 1968.
