Charles Lamar Spivey, age 81, of Waycross, GA. passed away on Jan. 3, 2022 passed away at his home surrounded by his family.

Charles was a native of Douglas, GA. born to the late C.L. and Wanell Wright Spivey. He was a carpenter by trade and a commercial boat captain. He loved fishing and went every time he got the opportunity. He made his way around the coastal areas living in Horseshoe, Keaton Beach, Steinhatchee and Perry. He managed a campground and people he met from all over the country returned over and over. He was a man that made friends easily and folks returned because of his hospitality. Charles was always good natured and met and made friends easily.

Survivors include four daughters, Donna Lanier, Pam Strickland, Kimberly Malone and Nancy Temple; three sons, Charles "Tony" Spivey, Jr., Robert Spivey and Louis "Lou" Spivey; two sisters, Barbara Ann Gibbs and June McNeely; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; also surviving is close friend, Wyndisue Murphy and his fur baby "Buckshot".

Private memorial services will be held at a later date.
