This obituary is being posted on our website as a courtesy to the Ross Family from Suwannee County. Buddy is the brother to Hamilton County resident and one of my closest friends Diane Duncan. My thoughts and prayers are with you, your brothers and sisters and to your sweet mother Ms. Adel.



Clarence "Buddy" Ross, age 77, of Live Oak, FL. passed away on Thursday, October 1, 2015 in Gainesville, FL. Buddy was born in Suwannee County, FL. on July 21, 1938 to Adel Carroll Ross and the late Phil Ross. In 1957 Buddy moved to Ocala and was the former owner/operator of Ross Underground Utilities for 25 years. He enjoyed being outdoors and was always at his best when he was on a tractor. He was of the Baptist faith. Buddy was preceded in death by his wife, Leona Ross and daughter Debbie Ross. Survivors include his daughter, Valerie Craig of Summerfield, FL.; grandsons, William Ross and Wesley Craig; granddaughter, Debra Craig; great grandsons, Maximus Craig and Rhylan Richardson.

Also surviving Buddy is his mother, Adel Ross; two brothers, Wesley "Rocky" Ross and Daniel "Sandy" Ross; and his four sisters, Phyllis "Cookie" Murray, Barbara Weinhold, Jane Hingson and Diane Duncan.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, October 10, 2015 at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Home located at 910 East Silver Springs Blvd in Ocala, FL.

The family will receive friends at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Home on Saturday between the hours of 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Ocala, FL.
