Curtis J. Marlow, 83, of Jasper, Florida, passed away on October 8, 2017, following a two year battle with cancer. He was born on September 26, 1934 in Live Oak, Florida to parents Columbus Jasper and Cloria J. Marlow.
Curtis was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Dollie Mills; and sister, Frances Harry.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Wilma Marlow; sisters, Mamie Simmons and Helen (Leon) Evans; brother, Sidney (Debbie) Marlowe; daughter, Julie Marlow; son, Jason (Gloria) Marlow; grandchildren, Forrest (Kayla) Marlow, Melissa (Alvin) Bennett, Curtis (Crystal) Marlow; five great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Curtis spent forty years as a commercial printer in Jacksonville before returning to Jasper in 1988, where he began doing lawn care for some of the great people of Jasper. He loved the mountains of North Carolina, where he, Wilma, and Julie were part-time residents for a number of years. He was an active member of Eternal Hope Church of God in Jasper, loved the Lord, his family, and his many wonderful friends.
Services were held on Wednesday, October 11, 2017 in the chapel of Harry T. Reid Funeral Home with interment at Evergreen Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Haven Hospice or the Eternal Hope Church of God Building Fund.
