Obituary
Daniel Walker, Sr., age 64, of Jasper, FL. passed away early on January 23, 2014 at Haven Hospice Suwannee Valley Care Center.
Funeral services were held Saturday, January 25, 2014 in the chapel of Harry T. Reid Funeral Home in Jasper. Interment followed in Evergreen Cemetery.
Daniel was a native of Lowndes County, Georgia born on February 14, 1949 to the late Adam and Irene Thornton Walker. He was a plumber by trade. Daniel was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Richard, Jr. and Averitt Walker.
Survivors include one son, Daniel Walker, Jr. and his wife Melina of Jasper, FL.; four brothers, Coy Walker, Sarasota, FL., Leroy and Larry Walker, both of Valdosta, GA. and Gary Walker, Nokomis, FL.; two sisters, Carolyn Mixon and Linda Grace Willis, both of Valdosta, GA.; three grandsons, Jared, Jacob and Brandon Walker; and his longtime companion, Sheila Ball of Jasper.
