Danny Delano Herring, age 82, of Jennings, FL. passed away Friday, July 26, 2019 at his home surrounded by family.

The Illinois native was born on December 30, 1936 to the late Herman and Gertrude Parrish Herring. He worked as a lineman for Florida Power for some 26 years. Around 1980, he retired to Hamilton County, FL. from Seminole, FL. His retirement included some of his favorite things like bee-keeping, cast net fishing and gardening. Danny served his country in the United States Navy. Mr. Herring was preceded in death by his wife, Susan "Dolly" Herring.

Danny was lucky in love a second time with his surviving wife Rosie; also surviving are sons, Danny Herring, Jr. and his wife Tess, Randy Herring and John Herring, all of Jennings, FL.; one brother, Howard Herring; eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held on Monday, July 29, 2019 in the chapel of Harry T. Reid Funeral Home in Jasper, FL. with Rev. Roger Hutto officiating. Interment followed at Hebron Cemetery.
