Darlene Moody Parr, age 64, of Jasper, FL. passed away Monday, January 30, 2012 at Smith Northview Hospital in Valdosta, GA following a brief illness. Darlene was born on May 7, 1947 in Valdosta, Georgia. She was a native and lifelong resident of Hamilton County. Darlene by nature was a caretaker and so it was natural that she would go on to graduate from the nursing program with an R.N. degree. She loved the people of Hamilton County and put her degree to work helping those who could not help themselves. Darlene was a wonderful nurse, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, classmate and friend. She was a longtime member of the First United Methodist Church in Jasper.

Survivors include her husband, Mack Parr, Jasper, FL.; one son, Doug Parr (Dawn), Jasper, FL.; one daughter, Penny Register (Chris), Statenville, GA.; two brothers, Lynn Moody, Gainesville, FL. and Joseph Feagle, Keystone Heights, FL.; six grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Thursday, February 2, 2012 in the chapel of Harry T. Reid Funeral Home with Rev. Jaime Register and Rev. Dale Ames officiating. Interment followed in Evergreen Cemetery.
