David Enoch Lucas, 87, of Hamilton County passed away Tuesday, June 24, 2014 at Suwannee Valley Nursing Center in Jasper following a brief illness. David was born June 7, 1927 in Monticello, Florida to the late Solomon & Bessie Ann Lucas. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and had a strong faith in God. He was a parts manager at Pafford Motor Company for forty years and owner/ operator of his own trucking company for forty plus years. Mr. Lucas was preceded in death by his wife Beulah L. Lucas. David will be remembered by all who knew him for his smile and his ability to lift the spirits of others with his kind words and deeds.

Survivors include: two daughters, Debbie Warren & Jeanie Hill both of Jasper, FL.; one sister, Mary Bailey of Jasper, FL.; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren, and a special friend Barbara Crosby of Sparks, GA.

Services were held Friday, June 27, 2014 in the chapel of Harry T. Reid Funeral Home with Rev. Carlton Allen officiating. Interment followed at Evergreen Cemetery.
