Dianne McGhee Padgett, of Echols County, Georgia passed away her home on Thursday, November 3, 2022 at the age of 70.

Dianne was born in Alabama and was the daughter of the late Burl and Bernell Digmon McGhee. Dianne was a descendant of the Poarch Creek Indians, a segment of the original Creek Nation which once covered almost all of Alabama and Georgia. Dianne held a job in the workplace for many years waitressing, but her favorite job was taking care of her family at home and because of her faithfulness, when she became ill some years ago, she was blessed to have her family right there to help her when she needed help. She loved fishing and sitting around a good fire with family and friends. Dianne was preceded in death by her daughter Kimberly McGhee.

Survivors include her husband of over 38 years, Ollie Padgett, Jr.; two sons, Lawton Flanders of Statenville and Burl Bargeron of Valdosta, GA; her daughter, Kristie Walker of Statenville; her two brothers, Pete McGhee of Statenville and Jerry McGhee of Jasper, FL.; five grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Funeral services were held on Monday, November 7, 2022 at Fargo Church of God with Pastor Michael Taylor officiating. Interment followed at the Padgett Family Cemetery.
