Donna Faye Law of Jennings, FL. passed away on August 2, 2022 at Big Bend Hospice in Tallahassee, FL. She passed from this Earth after a year-long, difficult battle with uterine cancer.

Donna was born in Gainesville, FL. on Dec. 2, 1965 to the late James and Carolyn Runnels. She grew up in Jennings and graduated from Hamilton County High.

Donna married Todd Law in 1986 and spent 22 wonderful years with him until his death in 2009 from brain cancer.

Donna was a hard-working, driven woman. She loved to learn and she loved to be of service to others. When her husband Todd died, she went to college and graduated with a Master's Degree in Education. She became a teacher and even while battling her cancer, Donna had started preparations for the upcoming school year, already working side by side with her fellow teachers at James Madison Preparatory High School in Madison, FL. where she taught anatomy, chemistry, biology, and physical science. Donna always expressed how much she loved her students and felt a certain amount of happiness for any part she might have shared in preparing them for the future. She expressed that teaching was her passion and believed that it was her calling.

Donna was extremely proud of each of her students and while she was passionate about being a teacher, she knew that her proudest moments would always be found in the two most important people in her life and that was the two children that she shared with Todd. Since his death in 2009, Donna's role was that of a single mother with absolute dedication to her children, Jeremy and Hannah. Donna was a faithful Christian. She and Todd had made a commitment to lead by example. They were committed in their faith and a determination to follow the truth of God's word. Even as her days on this earth drew close, Donna lived out that faithfulness for all of her loved ones to witness. She remained a good and faithful servant as she did everything that she could to prepare Jeremy and Hannah and the rest of her family for what she knew was soon to come. She did this not with fear or regret but by expressing her belief in the promises in God's word. Donna is now reunited with her husband and she has met her maker, deliverer and comforter. Her family is comforted by knowing she will never suffer another moment of the pain this world.

Donna's survivors include her son, Jeremy Law (22) her daughter Hannah Law (20); her sister Debbie Parker, and her two brothers Tom and John Runnels; several nieces and nephews and extended family.

Funeral services were held on Monday, August 8, 2022 in the chapel of Harry T. Reid Funeral Home in Jasper, FL. 32052.
