From the day we are born, dates become important to us. Our own date of birth, the date our first child is born, the date our parents left this world, and on and on we go.
November 4th was a special day in the lives of the Howell and Ragan families, for it was on November 4, 1967 that Dorian Harrell Howell took Evelyn Deloris Ragan as his bride. They shared 47 beautiful years together until Evelyn's passing on August 19, 2014 at the age of 71. Just a little more than a year later, on November 12, 2015, Harrell passed away at the age of 73. Memorial services were held respectively at the time of their passing but it was their desire to be buried together at a given time back home in Hamilton County.
On Saturday, November 4, 2017 on what would be their 50th wedding anniversary, their lives were celebrated in a memorial service at New Hope Baptist Church and the two were once again be joined together and buried on the family plot at New Hope.
