Doris E. Hunter, age 91, of Jasper, FL. passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2019 at Baya Point Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Lake City, FL.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, March 2, 2019 at Bright Pond Baptist Church with Pastor Gerald Smith officiating. Interment followed at Hebron Cemetery.

Doris was born on December 11, 1927 in Statenville, Georgia to the late John and Edith Simpson. She was the mother of five and did everything she could do to make their lives full. She enjoyed reading her bible and doing crossword puzzles and she loved to go out to lunches and dinners with her family and friends. Doris was a faithful member at Bright Pond Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Hunter, Sr. and her grandson, Cecil Hillhouse.

Survivors include two sons, Paul Hunter, Jr. and Gary Hunter (Kattia); three daughters, Rose Stankiewicz (Steve), Rhonda Brown (Randy) and Barbara Hunter (Keith Merfield); nine grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
