Dorothy Lucille Jackson Crews, born on December 23, 1934, in Jasper, FL, to A.W. and Christine Jackson, passed away peacefully on September 26, 2024. Raised in Hamilton County, Florida, Dorothy was known for her adventurous spirit and love of learning. She ventured out west, spending 20 vibrant years in Phoenix, AZ, where she embraced various jobs and experiences that kept her engaged and fulfilled.

A few years ago, Dorothy returned to her roots in Jasper, where she cherished reconnecting with her family. She is survived by her beloved brother, Billy Jackson of Jasper, FL, along with a niece, two nephews, and four great-nieces, who will carry on her legacy of warmth and resilience.

Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents, A.W. and Christine Jackson; her brother, John Jackson of Hartsville, SC; and her sisters, Zenobia Jackson of Trenton, NJ, and Linda Jackson Adams of Jennings, FL.

Dorothy's life will be honored at a graveside service at Evergreen Cemetery in Jasper, FL, on Tuesday, October 1, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. Her spirit and zest for life will be remembered fondly by all who knew her.
