Dorothy Sullivan Leutner, aged 91, of Jennings, Florida, passed away peacefully at her home on November 1, 2023. She was born on December 13, 1931, to the late Joseph G. Sullivan and Lausie Johnson. Dorothy was a dedicated and retired Registered Nurse who spent her life caring for others. Her legacy of compassion and service will forever be remembered by those whose lives she touched.

Dorothy's nursing career was marked by countless hours of selfless service at South Georgia Medical Center in Valdosta, Georgia. She approached her work with unwavering dedication, providing comfort and care to countless patients and their families.

In addition to her career, Dorothy was a devoted member of Burnham Christian Church in Jennings, FL. She had a deep faith that she lived out through her actions, often picking up others on Sunday mornings and joyfully bringing them to church with her. Dorothy also had a passion for reading and cooking. She could often be found immersed in a good book or whipping up delicious meals for her loved ones. Her kindness and generosity were a testament to her strong belief in the power of love and community.

Dorothy Sullivan Leutner is survived by her son, Charles Gregory Leutner of North Dakota, and her daughter, Kimberlee Bauer of Wildersville, Tennessee. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Maxine Sullivan (Garrard) of Jennings; five grandchildren: Edward Keller, Kristin Nettles, Morgan Todd, Ryan Leutner and Shannan Leutner; five great-grandchildren: Blair Keller, Chase Keller, Braxton Taff, Isabella Taff, and Kathryn Taff; two step-great-grandchildren: Eden Nettles and Shiloh Nettles; and a host of nieces and nephews.  She is preceded in death by her son, Christopher Leutner of Jennings, FL and her siblings: Homer Sullivan (Jennie) of Jennings, FL; Garrard Sullivan (Maxine) of Jennings, FL; Teford Sullivan (Juanita) of Jennings, FL; Joe Sullivan (Betty Lou) of Live Oak, FL; Louise Fox (Andy) of Darien, Connecticut; and Marjorie Noriega (Eddie) of Atlanta, GA.

A memorial service will be held at Burnham Christian Church in Jennings, FL on Friday, November 10, 2023, at 11:00 AM.
