Dorsey Willard Sweat, age 95, Lake City, FL. passed away unexpectedly on Friday, Nov. 21, 2014 at Lake City Medical Center in Lake City, FL. Dorsey was born in Waycross, GA on March 18, 1919. Mr. Sweat served his country in the United States Army and was a Pearl Harbor survivor. He was co-owner/operator of Main Street Pawn in Jacksonville, FL. for many years before retiring to Hamilton County. Mr. Sweat was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Bryan Sweat.

Survivors include two brothers, Val Sweat of White Springs, FL. and A.J. Sweat, of Jacksonville, FL.; two sisters-in-law, Carrie Brown of Lake City, FL. and Evelyn Stormant of White Springs, FL.; Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services were held Sunday, November 23, 2014 in the chapel of Harry T. Reid Funeral Home in Jasper, FL. Interment followed at Riverside Cemetery in White Springs, FL.
