Doshie Lee Avriett, age 61, of Jennings, FL. passed away on Wednesday, May 18, 2022 at Community Hospice & Palliative Care in Jacksonville, FL. following a lengthy illness.

Doshie was born in Jacksonville, FL. on January 3, 1961. She was one of six children born into the Avriett family. Doshie attended North Hamilton Elementary School in Jennings during her formative years and it was no secret that you gave her a wide path if she was not happy. Everyone in the county knew Doshie though small in stature, was a tough, no nonsense, girl in charge. Even her sisters that were older would tell you quick that she was just about as tough as any man they ever knew. But Doshie had a soft side as well. She didn't share her love openly like most but she was there for you if you were in need. She enjoyed crocheting, working in her flower beds and more than anything, she loved to go fishing.

Survivors include her three sisters, Audrey Lane of Alabama, Irma Fowler of Valdosta and Julia Sauls of Jennings, FL.; her two brothers, Jerry Avriett of Alabama and William "Tater" Avriett of Kansas; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Per Doshie's request she will be cremated. There will be no formal service.

In lieu of flowers, the family request contributions be made to Harry T. Reid Funeral Home to help pay for cremation expenses.
