Earl McDonald, age 65, of Jasper, FL. passed away peacefully in his sleep at home Tuesday, September 27, 2011 following a lengthy battle with cancer. Mr. McDonald was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on January 30, 1946 to the late Charles and Jean McDonald. Earl was a superintendent in the construction industry for a number of years in the Ft. Lauderdale area and was past President of the Coral Springs BMX Track. In 2007 he moved to Hamilton County where he immediately became active in the community. He was a member and former Captain with the Crossroads Volunteer Fire Department and was a member of St. Therese Catholic Church.
Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Margaret A. McDonald, Jasper, FL.; two sons, Brad McDonald (Ashley), Wake Forest, N.C., and Curt McDonald (Renee), Jennings, FL.; one sister, Janet Pacelli, Munhall, PA.; his mother-in-law, Margaret J. Braznai; six grandchildren.
Mass was held Monday, Oct. 3, 2011 at St. Therese Catholic Church in Jasper with Father Andy Mitera officiating.
