IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Earlene Ledlow
Hayes
December 8, 1924 – August 24, 2019
Earlene Ledlow Hayes, age 94, of Jasper, FL. passed away on August 24, 2019 at Lake Park of Madison following a brief illness.
Earlene was born in Guin, Alabama on December 8, 1924 to the late Elbert and Effie Savannah Graham Ledlow. She married Riley Hayes and the two lived out an "adventurous" life. There was travel involved but the destinations were however dictated by his employer as he traveled putting in power lines in the Bahamas, Puerto Rico and other ports. The family grew as they added a precious daughter and the adventures continued. Earlene was an avid yard sales person, one that enjoyed both the selling and buying end of it. Ft. Pierce was home and Earlene found work in managing housekeeping crews at a local condominium until retirement became her final option. In 2004 she moved to Jasper to be closer to her daughter and grandchildren. This turned out to be a glorious time for her because she was able to spend some good quality time with the grandchildren and great grandchildren. Earlene was preceded in death by her husband Riley, her parents, four brothers and three sisters and her beloved daughter and son-in-law, Anne and Earl Hall.
Survivors include three grandchildren, David Hall, Sr., Allen Hall and his wife Bessie who was Earlene's primary care giver, and Kim Hall her only granddaughter; seven great grandchildren, Chris Burnham (Stacey), Twyla Burnham, Travis Grantham, Ryan Grantham, David Hall, Jr., Sara Hall Morgan (James) and Stacey Hall; nine great great-grandchildren and one on the way. Also surviving are Earlene's three sisters, Martina Pope, Lynn Boatwright and Gwen Boozer.
A private burial will be held later this week at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Ft. Pierce, FL.
Harry T. Reid Funeral Home was in charge of immediate arrangements.
