“Well Glory”
Edgar Curtis Wood (January 5, 1954 – April 15, 2026) grew up in Barney, Georgia. Throughout his life, he had many accomplishments, including owning a successful auto repair business and being “Pop,” “Daddy,” and a devoted husband to a loving family. But most of all, he was a faithful servant of God and Pastor to his church family at Pentecostal Deliverance Center for 45 years.
He was excited about God, a witness to many miracles in his life. He worked for God, and God worked through him. If you ever had the opportunity to hear him preach the Word, you know how on fire he was for God. He recently preached a message about being a firefighter for the Lord, pulling souls out of the flames of hell, and he truly made that his mission in life. He never met a stranger and always made people laugh.
He is preceded in death by his father, Curtis Wood; his mother, Marlene Hooker; and his siblings, Linda-Mae, Brenda, and Kenny.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Bonnie Wood; his daughter, Nina Fletcher (Troy); his son, Eric Wood (Holly); his grandchildren, Samantha Porcare (Nathan), Joshua White (Brianne), Dallas Fletcher (Lashley), Erika Salgado (Dennis), Jace Wood, and Kase Wood; his great-grandchildren, Hank and Huck Fletcher; and his siblings, Sandra, Sammy, and Kathy.
In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to Pentecostal Deliverance Center’s building fund, as this is what our dear pastor, friend, and “Pop” would love and be honored by.
