Obituary

Edna Bonnell Burnham, age 64, of Jasper, FL. passed away Monday, November 6, 2017 at her home in Jasper following an illness of some time.

Edna was a native and lifelong resident of Jasper. She was the daughter of the late John Preston and Ethel Johnson Bonnell. Edna was always interested in her community and wanted to do what she could to improve it any way she could. She ran for and was elected as a council woman for the City of Jasper. Edna was never lazy and was known to be a hard worker all of her life, helping to support her family. Many will remember her as a longtime substitute teacher at North Hamilton, Jasper Elementary and Middle Schools as well as Greenwood. Edna was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Burnham, a brother, Donnie Bonnell and a sister, Patricia Ann Bonnell Westberry.

Survivors include one son, Wade Burnham; four daughters, Shannon Burnham, Lisa Burnham, Valerie Burnham and Susan Burnham; four brothers, Wayne Bonnell, Ralph Bonnell, Roger Bonnell and Stanley Bonnell; two grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, November 11, 2017 in the chapel of Harry T. Reid Funeral Home in Jasper. Interment followed at Evergreen Cemetery.
