Edna Hammack Knapp, age 94, of Jasper, FL. passed away on Saturday, March 9, 2013 at Suwannee Valley Nursing Center in Jasper. Mrs. Knapp was born December 8, 1918, in White Springs, FL. She was married 56 years to her high school sweetheart, Archie Knapp, who preceded her death in November 1993. Mrs. Knapp was also preceded in death by her parents, Willoughby and Leola Connally Hammack, her sisters, Jewell Hammack, Louise Hammack Martin and Myrtle Hammack Lewis, her oldest daughter, Mary Ann Knapp Pinnola and two grandchildren, Betty Kay Wilson and Danny Wayne Wilson, Jr. Mrs. Knapp was a homemaker and caretaker of many. She cared for both her parents and parents-in-law in their later years and also baby sat most of her grandchildren and many other local children in her home day care. Everyone was always welcome in her home and at her table and was known for her great southern cooking. Mrs. Knapp was a member of First United Methodist Church in Jasper.

Mrs. Knapp is survived by four daughters: Linda Knapp Smith (Jimmy), Hazel Knapp Royals (Lamar), and Billie Kathryn Knapp Wilson, all of Jasper, FL. and Louise Knapp Morgan (Ronny), of Jennings, FL.; 15 grandchildren, 41 great grandchildren and 18 great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, March 13, 2013 in the chapel of Harry T. Reid Funeral Home in Jasper with Pastor Dale Ames and Pastor Roger Hutto officiating. The eulogy was given by Mr. Bobby Pennington. Interment followed at Evergreen Cemetery.
