Edna M. Johns Mosley passed away Monday, October 8, 2012 at Suwannee Health Care Center in Live Oak, Florida after a long battle with cancer. She was born on april 26, 1924 in Folkston, Georgia and was a former resident of Jacksonville, FL. She is preceded in death by her husband Sylvester A. Mosley, her parents Thomas H. and Pearl Mizell Johns, her sister, Jewell Rhoden, her brothers James, Floyd and Vernon Johns, as well as three nieces and three nephews.
She is survived by her daughter, Rev. Cynthia E. Mosley, two sisters, Ruby Gore and Rev. Ann Hewett; her sisters in law, Lillie Mae Pittman, Louise Mosley and Anna Lee Johns. She is also survived by fifteen nephews, fourteen nieces, numerous great and great-great nieces and nephews. She was especially close to her great niece and nephews Lacee, L.J. and Christopher who lived near her. She always said to all her family "Never forget how much I love you"!
Funeral services were held Friday, October 12, 2012 at West Lake Church of God with Mr. Mack Snowden officiating. Interment followed at West Lake Cemetery.
