Eleanor Albert Pennington, age 87, of Jennings, FL. passed away Monday, June 4, 2012 at Haven Hospice in Lake City, FL. Eleanor was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on April 11, 1925 to the late Harry and Eleanor (Hogg) Albert. She met and married Winford Pennington with whom she made a life that included travel all over the world with his military career. Eleanor worked several jobs but was probably her happiest when she was enrolled in school taking classes. Eleanor was an artist and enjoyed drawing and painting. When the traveling was done and she was ready to settle, she made her home in Thomaston, Georgia where she lived until her health declined and had to move to be closer to her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Winford Pennington and a daughter, Sandra Clark.
Survivors include three sons, David Pennington and his wife Mickey of West Virginia, Harry Pennington and his companion, Neecy Lowe of Thomaston, GA. and Charles "Chuck" Pennington and his wife Genene of Jennings, FL.; one daughter, Andrea Northcutt, Bataria, Ohio; numerous grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
Memorial services were held at Saturday, June 16, 2012 in the chapel of Harry T. Reid Funeral Home, Jasper, FL.
