Myrtle Ellen Jenkins, age 99, of Jasper, FL. passed away on April 10, 2022 at a local nursing center.

Ellen was just shy of making her 100 ^th birthday. She was born on September 16, 1922 in St. Augustine, FL. to the late Henry Cecil Bartley and Myrtle Ellen Channel Bartley. She made her home in Crawfordville for many years until her health declined and she moved to North Florida to be closer to her daughter Diane who became her caretaker, her champion and indeed her best friend. Ellen enjoyed gardening, cooking, crabbing, playing cards with her granddaughter, dancing and was ready at the word "go" to load up to go shopping. She enjoyed life but she did endure a great deal of sadness in her 99 years as she buried her husband, two daughters, Donna Lynn Dunnigan and Deborah Ann Dunnigan and a son, William Patrick Dunnigan.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Diane Ellen Sandstrom and her husband Keith of Live Oak, FL.; her son and daughter-in-law, William Robert "Bob" Walther and his wife Lynette of Palatka, FL.; five grandchildren, Kim Walther, Gerri Marr, Kayti Dunnigan, Clayton Maloni and Jolene Sandstrom; and several great grandchildren.

Graveside services were held on Wednesday, April 13, 2022 at Live Oak Cemetery in Live Oak, FL.

Harry T. Reid Funeral Home in Jasper, FL. was in charge of arrangements.
