Elmer Leon Bryan, age 74, of Lake City, FL. passed away Sunday, February 8, 2009 at Lake City Medical Center. Mr. Bryan was born at Genoa, FL. near White Springs to the late Thomas Jefferson and Effie Rigsby Bryan. He was a resident of Brooksville, Florida before moving back to the area six years ago. Mr. Bryan was retired from Florida Rock Industries. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Joe Mallory Bryan and three sisters, Oleta Lindsey, Frances Herndon and Lila Fish.

Survivors include his son, John L. Bryan, Tampa, FL.; two daughters, Margaret Bryan, Boston, FL. and Mary Lynn Bryan of Arkansas; four sisters, Mary Alice Sweat (Dorsey), Evelyn B. Stormant (George) and Alma B. Sweat (Tracy), all of White Springs, FL., and Carrie B. Brown (A.J.), Lake City, FL.; five grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, February 11, 2009 in the chapel of Harry T. Reid Funeral Home, Jasper, FL. Interment followed in Riverside Cemetery in White Springs, FL.
