Obituary

Frankie "Joyce" Officer, 88, of Jennings, Florida, passed away peacefully on November 5, 2024, after a life well lived and full of love. Born on December 15, 1935, in Cleveland, Tennessee, Joyce was the cherished daughter of James and Ethel Stevison.

A woman of deep faith, Joyce was dedicated to her relationship with God. She felt at home in a Church of God and attended services when her health allowed. Joyce had a fondness for nature which was reflected in the hours she spent outdoors, caring for her goats and soaking up the simplicity and beauty of the countryside. Later in life, she discovered a talent for word searches, and this newfound hobby brought her hours of quiet contentment while confined inside. Above all, Joyce cherished her family and the time she spent with her grandson, Jeffery, brought her great happiness. She had a special way of making every family moment feel like a treasured memory.

Joyce's legacy of love continues through her family. She is survived by her devoted daughter, Donna Seavey of Jennings, FL; her loving grandson, Jeffery Dabbs and his wife, Melissa, also of Jennings, FL; her dear sister, Shavanah Beck and her husband, Charles, of Cleveland, TN; five great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson, each a testament to the love she nurtured and passed down.

Joyce's family plans to honor her memory with a service in Cleveland, Tennessee, where she began her life's journey. Her warmth, faith, and the joy she brought to others will be remembered and celebrated by all who knew and loved her.
