IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Freda Ann
Johnson Osborn
November 8, 1953 – January 18, 2021
Freda Ann Johnson Osborn, age 67, of Jasper, FL. passed away in Gainesville, FL. on Monday, January 18, 2021.
Freda was born in Newport, Tennessee on November 8, 1953. There was no doubt, with one glance, that this dark headed beauty had Indian blood in her. Those high cheek bones and that almost perfect year-round smooth tanned skin was very distinguishing. Freda worked for many years at what is now CVS in Jasper where she smiled that smile that made you instantly want to smile back. There are many words that describe this beautiful lady. She was quiet but loud enough to get Frank's attention, kind but could stand her ground, tender hearted but strong enough to withstand any storm life sent her way, compassionate, a wonderful wife, a fun and loving "Granny" to her grandchildren and great grandchildren, a faithful daughter and sister, but most of all, a child of God. Freda had an unwavering faith in the Lord. She was raised by parents that gave her a firm foundation on which to build her faith. She had a desire to share her faith with her family and friends. Freda lost her battle with COVID-19 after 81 days in the hospital. Her 67th birthday was spent in the hospital as was her 34th wedding anniversary and yet her family stood strong in the gap praying for the her as they watched her slowly make the transition to her heavenly home where she joins her father, the late Billy Joe Johnson.
Survivors include her husband, Frank Osborn who loved her so dearly; her two sons, Jimmy Simone of Virginia and Thomas Simone (Shannon) of Jasper, FL.; her four daughters, Tammy Atkinson (Rusty) of Jasper, FL., Evelyn Scerbo (Eric) and Crystal Roberts (Scott) all of Lake City, FL. and Heather Esparza (Daniel) of Jasper, FL.; her mother, Emma Jean Johnson, of Old Town, FL.; one brother, Billy Joe Johnson, Gainesville, FL.; her two sisters, Cheryl Davis of Chiefland and Val Hinson of Old Town, FL.; 16 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
Because Freda lost her life to due to COVID-19 and the family's overwhelming concern for others in the community, they will have private "family only" graveside committal services for Freda.
Many thanks go out to the community for the overwhelming support you have shown over the past 81 days to the Osborn family.
