Gary Alan Altmix, age 60, of White Springs, FL. passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, January 26, 2017 at Lake City Medical Center. The Gainesville, FL. native was born September 5, 1956 to Don R. Altmix and the late Diane Evans Altmix. Gary was naturally a diehard Gator fan and lived and breathed the Florida Gators. He retired in 2006 after eighteen years with the Department of Corrections. He was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include his wife of thirty years, Lois Conrad Altmix, White Springs, FL.; two sons, Kyle Altmix, Savannah, GA and Jared Altmix, White Springs, FL.; his father, Don R. Altmix of Gainesville, FL.; two brothers, Paul Altmix (Yoko), Delray Beach, FL. and Carl Altmix (Nancy), West Palm Beach, FL.

Graveside services were held  on Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at Evergreen Cemetery in Jasper, FL. with Pastor Steve Redman officiating.
