George A. Joyce, Sr., age 68, of Statenville, Georgia passed away at his home peacefully on Monday, June 29, 2015 surrounded by his family. George was born in Hamilton County, Florida on July 31, 1946 to the late William H. and Louise Joyce. He lived most of his life in Echols County and worked for the Echols County Road Department. He was predeceased by his parents William H. Joyce and Louise Gray and by his wife, Anita Lee Anderson Joyce.

Survivors include one son, George A. Joyce, Jr. and his daughter-in-law, Selena Joyce of Echols County; two half sisters, Juanita Toal and Aline Powell both of Echols County.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 2, 2015 at Statenville Church of God.

Interment will follow at later date at Hebron Cemetery.
